About Us

The Union County Board of Developmental Disabilities and its community partners provide services and supports that focus on empowering people with disabilities to lead meaningful, fulfilling lives by supporting their health and well-being, expanding community access, and creating opportunities for meaningful engagement within an inclusive community where everyone can thrive. To access services through UCBDD, individuals must reside in Union County and meet the eligibility requirements set by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. 

For children younger than three years of age, referrals can be made for Help Me Grow services by completing the form here. If a child under age three is found eligible, they are connected with our Early Intervention program, which helps their family find appropriate supports and resources. For people aged three and older, service referrals can be made by reaching out to the UCBDD Intake and Eligibility team. Additional details about the intake and eligibility process are available here. After an individual in this age group is confirmed to be eligible, they are connected with the team best suited to offer support, resources, and guidance based on their needs.
